Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Retail Sales, the Director, Retail Sales - Walmart is responsible for identifying opportunities for maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within retail market segment. The Director, Retail Sales, will oversee all Walmart National retail business & continue to manage head‑office Customer relationships.

Key Accountabilities:

• To achieve annual volume and margins targets supporting retail sales. The Sales Director will have direct responsibility with the National Account Manager with the goal of driving incremental distribution and volume;
• Develop & execute the annual business plan in support of annual goals and objectives;
• Oversee forecasting for all Walmart retail business;
• Develop and establish key business relationships taking the business to the next level and aiming at driving profitable volumes in support of both Branded and Private label products;
• Prepare for & negotiate RFQ’s, pricing actions, Customer asks;
• Develop and execute an aggressive merchandising support plan for all existing and new proprietary products, maximizing advertising and promotional activity;
• Development of Customer proposals including new product proposals, business reviews;
• Prepare and present monthly business updates and plans to the VP, Retail Sales & CCO.

Requirements:

• University Degree or College Diploma with minimum 5-7 years of industry experience;
• Experience in Protein industry preferred;
• Previous experience calling on Walmart considered a benefit;
• Ability to establish relationships;
• Experience with selling Branded and Private label products;
• Local (GTA) travel, as required.

Hiring Range: CAD $120,100 - $170,100

Bonus:
This position is eligible for a bonus up to 17.5% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.

Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
