Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
Reports to: Regional Director, Franchise Store Operations

Pet Valu is Canada's leading pet specialty retailer. The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) is responsible for operational activities and sales results across the district, focusing on system-wide sales growth and compliance with franchise standards.

• Drive system-wide and wholesale sales, achieving company-set targets.
• Communicate with franchisees: provide product knowledge, metrics, new product launches, pre-books, and seasonal initiatives.
• Conduct Best Practices reviews and recommend customized solutions to improve sales and profitability.
• Train, monitor, and enforce brand and operational standards; document and resolve non‑compliance.
• Act as principal contact between franchisees and head office, soliciting information, resolving issues, and escalating when necessary.
• Enforce outside purchases compliance and manage cross‑functional issue resolution.
• Maintain regular in-store visits (3.5‑4 days per week) and follow‑up via email/phone.
• Coordinate key store activity tasks with cross‑functional partners (real estate, HR, etc.).

• College degree (preferably Business, Retail, or Marketing) or extensive retail experience.
• 2‑3 years of district or multi‑store management experience in a large retail chain, preferably in a franchise‑based role.
• Strong visual merchandising skills.

• Independent work, strong organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Effective negotiation, influence, and communication skills.
• Conflict management and ability to adjust messaging to audiences.
• Sales‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving and customer service skills.
• Organized follow‑up to close issues quickly.

• Valid driver’s license; willing to make overnight trips.
• Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. The final offer will depend on market location, relevant skills, experience, and internal equity.
