Key ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Regional Director, the Franchise Business Consultant (“FBC”) is responsible for all operational activities and sales results in the district,
including:
- Driving system‑wide and wholesale sales
- Achieving sales targets set by the company
- Communicating with franchisees – product knowledge, metrics/benefits, new product launches, pre‑books, store cost deals, seasonal initiatives, and ensuring consistent delivery of messaging and standards
- Applying tools provided by the company to optimize sales opportunities
- Providing best‑practice consulting by reviewing store practices, sales data, merchandising, staffing, training, promotion, and recommending customized solutions to improve profitability
- Providing retail operations excellence: training, monitoring, and enforcing brand/operational standards outlined in the Franchise Agreement and Operations Manual; documenting and escalating when SOPs and policies are not followed; ensuring proper orientation and training of new franchisees
- Acting as the principal contact point between franchisees and head office departments, communicating or soliciting information, collecting data, resolving issues, and enforcing compliance with outside purchase regulations
- Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to resolve common issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitoring local competition and reporting relevant market activity to the Regional Director
- Coordinating key store activity tasks in collaboration with partners such as real estate, corporate Regional Director/District Manager, store‑setup, and Human Resources
- College level graduate (preferably from a Business, Retail or Marketing program) and/or extensive retail experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years of retail chain experience at a district or multi‑store management level in a large retail chain; ideally gaining experience in a progressive franchise‑based operations role
- Strong retail visual merchandising skills
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Results‑driven, organized, and able to prioritize activities per business priorities
- Strong sales focus and willingness to strive for improvements
- Current driver’s license and ability to drive; overnight trips and occasional evenings/weekends/holidays may be required
Expectations of in‑store presence include 3.5–4 days per week with regular cadence of in‑person store visits (minimum every 6 weeks) and monthly follow‑up on wholesale visits via email/phone.
FBC is expected to act as an escalation contact between franchisees and head office departments, monitor local competition, and coordinate key store activity tasks with cross‑functional partners.
FBC must follow the monthly visit checklist and conduct quarterly safety, brand standards, and audit activities.
Compensation & BenefitsTargeted salary range: $70,000 – $80,000 annually (final offer based on market location, skills, experience, and internal equity).
