Thrift Store Customer Service Associate

Serve customers and donors as a part-time Sales Associate with The Salvation Army Thrift Store, using cash handling and retail service skills.

This permanent part-time position supports ongoing retail operations through customer service, donation processing, and merchandise preparation. You will greet visitors, complete cash and debit transactions, and help maintain accurate pricing. The work also includes sorting, hanging, packing, and storing donated goods. A few months of customer service or goods-processing experience is required, along with cash register experience. Some high school coursework is required.

• Greet customers and donors courteously throughout store operations
• Complete accurate cash and debit transactions
• Sort, price, hang, pack, and store donations
• Replenish sales floor inventory and maintain displays
• Monitor store activity and support security

• Completion of some high school coursework
• Cash handling and cash register experience required
• A few months of customer service or goods processing experience
• Ability to lift and carry up to 29 pounds frequently
• Willingness to complete applicable screening and background checks
