Position: Full-Time Security Guard

At Markham Stouffville Hospital, the Security Guard role is essential for creating a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This full-time position encompasses critical responsibilities such as conducting regular rounds, operating security systems, and monitoring access points. You will respond swiftly to emergencies, de-escalate tensions, and maintain documentation of incidents that occur during your shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular security rounds across the hospital premises

• Operate security cameras and report suspicious activities

• Control access to restricted hospital areas

• Assist hospital staff during emergencies and evacuations

• Provide assistance to visitors and ensure policy adherence

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security License required

• One year of experience in security or law enforcement preferred

• Certifications in First Aid and CPR Level C needed

• Strong English communication skills are mandatory

• Ability to pass N95 mask fit testing
