ACCES is seeking Program Assistants to work at six (6) of our locations: Scarborough, Toronto, Markham, Newmarket, Mississauga and Brampton . Please indicate your preferred location when applying. Please note this position is fully onsite.
ACCES is recruiting youth/students in the field of Community & Employment Services, Career & Work Counseling, Social Work, Immigration & Settlement, Project Management or Marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver client support services, with a focus on fostering inclusivity and accessibility for under‑served and equity‑deserving communities, including individuals facing employment barriers, racialized groups, and ODSP clients.
Assist with online client flow, ensuring smooth navigation and accessibility across ACCES services.
Support the organization of community events at ACCES sites, including those hosted by Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) such as BACC (Black Action Coalition for Change), SOMOS (Latin and Hispanic ERG), Pride A+ (2
SLGBTQIA+ group), SAGE (South Asian Growth and Empowerment), MENA (Middle Eastern & North African), & ESAE (East & South East Asian).
Collect, organize, and securely maintain client forms, ensuring data accurately reflects the diversity of clients served for reporting and evaluation purposes.
Update client information as required, in alignment with both internal and external requirements.
Assist with outreach to employers and community partners serving people with disabilities, underrepresented groups, and racialized communities to expand program reach, address systemic employment barriers, and raise awareness of ACCES programs.
Collaborate with staff to ensure client needs are addressed with tailored support, making programs accessible to individuals facing employment barriers.
Support project and program managers with daily administrative tasks.
Provide support to staff in Marketing, Online Services, and other areas to promote equitable and inclusive program delivery.
Promote ACCES services to employers and community partners through telephone campaigns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Superior customer service skills (minimum of 1‑year customer service experience preferred)
Pursuing or completed post‑secondary education in one of the following fields is preferred:
Community & Employment Services, Career & Work Counseling, Social Work, Immigration & Settlement, Project Management, or Marketing.
Must not be a client of ACCES, or a relative of an employee of ACCES
Some experience in an administrative setting is an asset
Previous work or volunteer experience working in a community‑based setting is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work and co‑operate in a team
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Strong computer and digital skills – MS Office and troubleshooting
Canada Summer Jobs Funding Requirements
Must be between 15‑30 years of age, at the start of the funded position.
Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred.
Have a valid SIN
International students, and those who are here in Canada on a work, youth, or visitor visa/permit are not eligible for the program.

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour – 35 hours per week
