Integrated Services Counsellor

Position: Integrated Employment Services Counsellor
Join JVS Toronto’s Integrated Employment Services as an Employment Counsellor in Markham. This full-time role is dedicated to providing comprehensive employment support to clients.
As an Employment Counsellor, you will assess and address client needs through tailored service plans, and support their journey towards job placement and retention. Collaborate with a dynamic team and utilize your expertise in local labour markets and employment resources.

Your role will be integral in facilitating connections between clients and industry opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans

• Manage complete client case files and monitor progress

• Assist clients in preparing for job searches and interviews

• Coordinate services with the Job Development team

• Provide internal and external referral services to clients
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant certification in Social Services

• 1-2 years of experience in employment counselling

• Strong critical-thinking and organizing abilities

• Knowledge of community resources and job markets

• Clear Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check needed
