In this role, you will work collaboratively with families to assess their needs and formulate comprehensive support plans. You will navigate challenging situations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable legislation while advocating for children's rights and safety. Your strength-based and trauma-informed approach will be vital for producing positive outcomes within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and coordinate family meetings to enhance safety plans
• Identify community resources for emergency child care
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
• Support families through court appearances and paperwork
• Develop and conduct life skills workshops for clients
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Human Services; related experience preferred
• Proven ability to manage a demanding caseload
• Excellent documentation and report writing skills
• Strong problem-solving and advocacy abilities
• Ability to work independently and in teams
Be a key advocate for families, driving effective support and intervention within the Lax Kw’alaams community.
