Yee Hong Day Program Assistant Position

Yee Hong is seeking a Temporary Program Assistant for its Day Program in Markham. This full-time role supports clients through crafting meaningful activities and ensuring their needs are met.

As a Temporary Program Assistant, you'll work under the Program Coordinator to help design and execute enjoyable activities that cater to clients' physical and emotional needs. A diploma in social work or related fields and previous experience in geriatric rehabilitation is crucial for success in this role. Candidates must possess strong customer service abilities and be comfortable working across Yee Hong's various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning suitable activities for clients

• Ensure safe operation of all program activities

• Provide timely support and crisis interventions

• Collaborate with client and caregiver to monitor care plans

• Keep records and files updated regarding the program

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Services, health sciences, or equivalent

• Essential experience in geriatric rehabilitation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Current CPR certification

• Recent police vulnerable sector screening results
