Join the team at Mental Wellness as a Cultural Advisor, supporting crisis response through culturally safe service delivery. Enhance the provision of cultural programming within the Crisis Hub, rooted in Hodinohshoni beliefs.
The Cultural Advisor will report directly to the Crisis Hub manager, acting as a vital resource in the enhancement of services in alignment with Ogwanohgwatrae:’ Tseh Niyogwai:ho`de`. This role focuses on developing cultural resources that promote traditional Hodinohshoni practices, fostering a strong cultural identity among both clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support culturally safe crisis response services
• Develop cultural programming and resources
• Enhance understanding of Hodinohshoni beliefs
• Collaborate with Crisis Hub staff and stakeholders
• Promote positive cultural identity among clients and staff
Requirements:
• Experience in cultural programming development
• Knowledge of Hodinohshoni traditions and practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work under supervision of the Crisis Hub manager
• Commitment to culturally safe service delivery
