Join AMD as a Firmware Development Intern in Markham, Ontario, and contribute to next-gen computing. Gain invaluable experience through hands-on learning and innovative projects.
This internship spans from September 2026 through May 2027, targeting students in electrical or computer engineering disciplines. You’ll apply your knowledge by developing, debugging, and documenting firmware while adopting agile practices alongside experienced developers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and validate features for embedded firmware
• Actively participate in design and code reviews
• Create clear documentation for the software produced
• Work on real-world internal and external firmware projects
• Conduct root cause analysis of firmware and hardware issues
Requirements:
• Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Canada in a relevant field
• Knowledge of C/C++ and hardware architecture
• Familiarity with embedded systems and RTOS
• Competence in debugging and source control tools
• Enthusiasm for firmware development in a team setting
