Intern Researcher in Voice Interaction

The Huawei Human-Machine Interaction Lab is seeking an intern to collaborate with a dynamic team on research projects. You'll prototype voice-first multimodal interactions and utilize speech tools like Whisper and Vosk for integration. Students pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or HCI will find this an exciting opportunity to innovate in intelligent voice-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build prototypes demonstrating voice + touch and voice + gesture interactions

• Integrate speech recognition features using existing tools

• Implement interaction logic with audio, camera, and touch

• Prototype new ideas for conversational interfaces and voice commands

• Write clean code and perform usability tests

Requirements:

• Pursuing a PhD or Master’s in Computer Science or HCI

• Strong coding skills in Python, C++, or Java

• Understanding of data structures and algorithms

• Exposure to voice or AI concepts

• Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch or Tensor Flow
