Position: Firmware Engineer for PCIe Systems at AMD

In this role within the NBIO firmware team, you will build essential firmware for I/O subsystems, collaborating closely on architecture and post-silicon validation. You’ll navigate the complexities of low-level hardware interaction and contribute to coding excellence, all while mentoring junior engineers. The collaborative environment encourages influence on tooling and practices across multiple SoC programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement firmware for PCIe and related I/O subsystems

• Collaborate on architecture with hardware design teams

• Conduct validation in RTL simulation and emulation

• Support performance optimization during bring-up

• Contribute to firmware frameworks and reusable code

Requirements:

• Extensive C/C++ embedded development skills

• Proven experience with PCIe or similar interfaces

• Understanding of HW/FW system design

• Hands-on pre-silicon validation experience

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Computer Engineering
