Join Chime's Data Infra team as an Infrastructure Software Engineer, building robust foundations for scalable data engineering workflows. Engage in deployment and storage management on a dynamic platform.
In this versatile role, you’ll engineer solutions that enhance the reliability of Chime’s Data Engineering platform. Your focus will include managing critical technologies such as Airflow, Flink, DynamoDB, and RDS. You will also collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure their needs translate into effective infrastructure solutions, emphasizing reliability, observability, and operational hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain deployment infrastructure for workflows
• Own the operation of core storage technologies at Chime
• Manage workloads using Kubernetes and Terraform
• Drive reliability and capacity planning improvements
• Participate in complete infrastructure change life cycles
Requirements:
• 2–4 years of experience in infrastructure engineering
• Production experience with Terraform and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of AWS database services, specifically DynamoDB
• Strong programming capabilities in Python
• Experience with ETL data ingestion preferred
