Firmware Technical Engineer Position

Lead embedded firmware projects at AMD as a Firmware Technical Engineer based in Markham, Ontario. Participate in the complete firmware architecture life cycle and engage with critical debugging efforts.
As a vital member of the Firmware Operations group, you'll be responsible for representing firmware interests in critical meetings and driving discussions around features across multiple AMD platforms.
Your role requires blending technical leadership with a deep understanding of platform integration and firmware interaction, ensuring the highest quality in product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Be the firmware voice in cross-functional meetings
• Lead technical discussions within firmware teams
• Drive resolution of critical firmware defects and issues
• Act as firmware Point of Contact for Kicker SKUs
• Participate in evaluating new requirements post-exit phase
Requirements:
• Proven experience in firmware and software development
• In-depth knowledge of embedded systems architecture
• Strong technical leadership abilities
• Understanding of power management and subsystem optimization
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related area
