We are looking for a iOS Engineer to lead development of the Lorex Connect app on iOS. You will guide the iOS team, drive engineering quality, and work closely with the Android lead to ensure a consistent, scalable, and high-performing cross-platform experience.

• Lead and mentor iOS developers through code reviews, coaching, architectural guidance, and best practices.
• Own overall iOS app quality: code structure, performance, reliability, and test coverage.
• Collaborate in parallel with the Hardware development, Cloud and Android team to maintain aligned architecture, shared API contracts, consistent UX patterns, and synchronized feature delivery.
• Drive adoption of modern iOS best practices (Swift, Swift Concurrency, Combine, SwiftUI as applicable).
• Improve build stability, CI/CD workflows, and crash-free reliability using tools like Crashlytics.
• Partner with Product, Backend, Firmware, and QA to ensure features are scoped correctly and delivered with high quality.

• Expert Swift developer, with strong knowledge of UIKit and/or SwiftUI, depending on app architecture.
• Experience with modern iOS patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and modular code organization.
• Strong understanding of Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, or equivalent asynchronous frameworks.
• Deep familiarity with networking, API integrations, offline handling, and secure data management.
• Experience with video playback frameworks (AV Foundation, real-time streaming, WebRTC) is a strong advantage.
• Solid experience maintaining large production iOS apps with multiple modules and complex navigation flows.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization experience (Xcode Instruments).
• Experience improving and enforcing unit tests, snapshot/UI tests, and contributing to automated pipelines.
• Comfortable working closely with an Android counterpart to align architecture, data models, flows, and release cadences.

• Proven experience leading or mentoring iOS developers.
• Passion for clean, maintainable code and thoughtful architectural decisions.
• Strong communicator who can collaborate across iOS, Android, backend, QA, firmware, and product teams.
• Ability to balance rapid feature delivery with long-term maintainability and technical debt management.
