AI-native Cloud Systems Co-op Engineer

Pursue a co-op opportunity with Huawei Cloud in Canada as an AI-native Cloud Systems Engineer for 8-16 months. Engage in developing and optimizing next-gen cloud technologies.

In this role, you’ll join the Distributed Scheduling and Data Engine Lab, where you'll collaborate with talented engineers. The position focuses on creating innovative solutions for AI-native cloud infrastructure by investigating data structures and designing algorithms for efficient resource management. You'll play a key role in enhancing cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prototype systems for AI-native infrastructure

• Investigate data structures for effective resource scheduling

• Enhance capacity management systems for public clouds

• Collaborate closely with architects on technical implementations

• Design algorithms for workload optimization and placement

Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in technical fields

• Proficient in Go or Rust programming languages

• Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms

• Familiarity with distributed systems and memory allocation

• Excellent problem-solving capability and initiative
