Design embedded and cloud edge software as a Staff Firmware Driver Engineer with Qualcomm Canada ULC in Markham, Ontario.
This engineering role develops specialized utility programs and software modules for large-scale products and systems. You will analyze requirements, collaborate with hardware and systems engineers, and validate solutions. The work includes C, C++, Java, or Python programming, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop embedded and cloud edge software
- Implement modules for large-scale products and systems
- Lead coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration
- Review code, run regression tests, and fix issues
- Write detailed technical documentation for software projects
- Bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience
- Master’s degree and three years of related experience
- PhD and two years of related experience
- Two years programming with C, C++, Java, or Python
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
