Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team in Markham. You will be responsible for designing and implementing programs for athletes of all ages and performance levels. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required to support diverse clientele. Experience in basketball & volleyball strength & conditioning is a significant asset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement strength & conditioning programs for athletes of various ages and levels
  • Conduct assessments to identify strengths and areas for improvement
  • Monitor and adjust training programs to ensure optimal results and safety
  • Educate athletes on proper technique, injury prevention, and recovery strategies
  • Collaborate with other coaches to deliver cohesive, holistic training
  • Manage multiple athletes and programs simultaneously
  • Uphold facility rules, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards
  • Maintain a professional, motivating environment for athletes
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and colleagues in Mandarin and English
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a related field
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of coaching experience with athletes of all ages in a club, academy, or professional setting
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (required)
  • Other languages would be an asset
  • Strong knowledge of strength & conditioning principles
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Available for flexible full‑time schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
