As a licensed customs brokerage firm, we facilitate smooth customs clearance for imports to both Canada and the United States. We offer a variety of transportation modes, including air, rail, ocean, courier, and truck, and handle customs clearance at all ports across Canada.
We are currently seeking a full-time Customs Specialist to join our team at our office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics and customs processes.

- Review, monitor and process import transactions on a daily basis, including B3, B2, Cadex, etc.
- Follow up with complex cases and support internal teams for customs clearance, contact CBSA if necessary
- Build and maintain excellent, direct working relationships with the client and/or carriers, provide day to day contact and support
- Prioritize and complete work according to client’s needs, demands, customs requirements and DH standards for release conditions and ensure compliance
- Create and proactively maintain the client tariff database, ensuring all associated system maintenance files/information, associated vendors and keywords are accurate and current in order to take advantage of data defaults for accurate quality output and one-step processing. Update information as necessary
- Verify documentation for release conditions and compliance
- Participate fully with other team members in the day-to-day operations of the team, including setting priorities, organizing, and scheduling work, coordinating with others, problem-solving and decision-making, participating in meetings and handling special projects
- Mandarin is an asset
- Diploma/degree in international business/logistics/customs field, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of experience as a customs broker, familiar with Customs Tariff
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel
- Proficiency in Candata is an asset
- Professional maturity and demonstrated ability to take initiative, to work independently and follow through on work assignments
- Competency to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and treat sensitive information with discretion
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking skills, and the ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks
