Position:
Seasonal Deicing Technician

As a Seasonal Deicing Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and on-time departures of aircraft during winter conditions. Whether you're seeking experience in the aviation industry, returning for another season, or earning extra income during winter, this flexible and impactful role allows technicians to choose their shifts based on availability, making it ideal for students, retirees, or anyone with a variable schedule.

Main Responsibilities

  • Safely operate deicing trucks and equipment near aircraft in winter conditions.
  • Apply aircraft anti-icing/deicing fluids following procedures and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with ground crew, flight crew, and dispatchers.
  • Follow airport regulations, security procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Complete logs and reports after each operation.
  • Required Skills

    • Possess and maintain a valid class 5 driver’s license.
    • Pass security clearance for airport operations (RAIC, SIDA, or equivalent).
    • Experience in aviation, heavy equipment, or seasonal work is an asset.

    Required Profile

    • Availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Comfort working outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
    • Valid driver’s license required; airside license preferred or to be obtained upon hiring.
