Support safe student transportation in Prescott, ON as a part-time School Bus Monitor, using communication and safety-focused care. First Student provides training for this community role.
As a School Bus Monitor, you will assist the driver during weekday AM and PM routes. No previous monitor experience is required. Your work will support students traveling to and from school, including children with special needs, through safety guidance, care, and encouragement.
Key Responsibilities:- Help students board and exit the school bus safely
- Assist children with special needs during transportation
- Ensure students remain seated and follow bus safety rules
- Communicate with the driver during each route
- Provide daily care and encouragement to students
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Work flexible weekday AM and PM split shifts
- Physically assist students and perform emergency procedures
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
