The Cantonese Pastor for Family & Women’s Ministries will serve within a team setting to equip and nurture the Cantonese congregation across diverse age groups, with a primary focus on strengthening families and supporting female congregants.

Overview of Church and Community

The church currently has a pastoral team and approximately 900 in-person congregants across four divisions:
English (~120), Mandarin (~200), Cantonese (~400), and Young Life (~150). Strategically located near Hwy 404 between Major Mackenzie Drive

E. and 16th Avenue, the church serves a growing residential community with a predominantly Asian background.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • A clear calling from God and a strong passion for serving the body of Christ.
  • Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or higher from an accredited theological institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pastoral experience in a North American church of similar size and culture (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills in Cantonese and English;
    Mandarin proficiency is an asset.
  • Accredited by or willing to seek accreditation with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ).
  • A collaborative team player committed to ministry alignment and church unity.
Role and Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, coach, and support female ministry leaders in collaboration with church leadership.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to strengthen Christian families.
  • Provide pastoral care, visitation, and counseling, with a focus on supporting women.
  • Mentor assigned small groups and fellowships, offering regular visitation and support.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Cantonese Division and the broader church.
  • Engage in preaching, teaching, prayer ministries, and general pastoral duties.
  • Participate in church-wide and divisional ministry meetings.
  • Provide ministry updates to the Cantonese Lead Pastor and/or Senior Pastor.
