Senior Principal Architect - Window System

Join us at Huawei Canada as a Senior Principal Architect - Window System. We are seeking a talented individual to lead our innovative projects in graphics and windowing systems.

About the team: The Web, Windowing, and Graphics team is exploring novel architectures to accelerate rendering processes for ArkUI and web content. Our focus includes customizing GPU drivers, simplifying Chrome rendering architecture for TBDR GPU targets, enabling concurrent web layout, and leveraging Huawei’s Harmony

OS platform.

About the job:

• Provide insights into OS Graphics software stack and hardware trends, including GUI, display, and input technologies.
• Identify key technologies and lead research and implementation of proof-of-concept projects.
• Lead the Canada team to collaborate with the China-based engineering team for production deployment.

Job requirements:

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Leadership skills to articulate architecture vision and build consensus across teams.
• Extensive experience in OS graphics, including GUI, 2D/3D graphics architecture, render pipelines, application frameworks, and GPU acceleration.
• Familiarity with graphic APIs such as OpenGLES, Vulkan, Metal, and Direct2D.
• Knowledge of Android, iOS, and web graphics stacks, including components like Surface Flinger, Web Animations, and Core Animation.
• Experience in Consumer Electronics industry development and trends.
