Maintenance Coordinator

Job Description

As a Maintenance Coordinator at Avery Healthcare, your focus will be to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents and team members, ensuring the smooth operation of the facilities and the upkeep of the building. You will use working knowledge of building systems – plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical – and regulatory requirements to resolve maintenance concerns promptly.

• Resolve any home maintenance concerns promptly using working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements.
• Engage with approved contractors as and when required and source alternative suppliers as needed.
• Cover all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building.
• Where applicable, manage the Maintenance Assistant – day‑to‑day supervision, objective setting, annual reviews, approval of hours, absence management and holiday authorisation.

• Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of safety and fire safety systems.
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the best interests of residents.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
