Job Summary

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for providing timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of business performance to facilitate decision‑making. This role involves performing monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial budget variance analysis. The Sr. Accountant is also responsible for day‑to‑day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting, and analysis for assigned functional areas.

Essential Functions
  • Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, and budget variance analysis.
  • Responsible for day‑to‑day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting, and analysis for all trial balance accounts.
  • Support strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on inventory valuation and production costs.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams and other business units to share ideas for improvements, align new processes, and consult on best practices.
Job Responsibilities
  • Works with a team of 2–3 accounting team members, most located remotely, helping to get accounting information processed according to company policies.
  • Maintains the company’s fixed assets.
  • Analyze data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed.
  • Identify and communicate useful information to provide practical business leadership to drive business decision making across the company.
  • Provide ad‑hoc financial analyses as needed.
  • Involved in implementing changes to continually improve processes, support standardization and effectiveness.
  • Must be available to interact and communicate across multiple time zones, as necessary.
  • Maintain a strong control environment.
  • Support internal and external audit procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, Masters/CPA/CMA preferred.
  • 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Must have solid knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (EPICOR a plus), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; particularly Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Personally accountable for your work product and outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to successfully handle multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
