BELFOR Project Managers have either a restoration or construction focus. Qualified candidates will be industry experts and serve as local, regional, or national resources for large, complex, and high-risk projects. They will participate in BELFOR Cat teams following hurricanes and other regional damage recovery efforts. Project Managers are eligible to become BELFOR estimators.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate thorough understanding of all BELFOR service lines.
- Construction track: understand scope, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure safety, and maintain quality control.
- Establish core project management capabilities, including time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders.
- Continuously update knowledge of current and past construction practices.
- Review daily project requirements, document progress, and notify managers of challenges.
- Provide field documentation, photo logs, graphs, and sketches for various projects.
- Perform skills related to Fire Damage Specialist, Water Damage Specialist, and Carpenter roles.
- Qualify vendors and subcontractors, guiding them through the qualification process.
- Manage fixed bid and rate/material projects.
- Understand BELFOR invoicing and provide necessary documentation.
- Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
- Maintain attention to detail and safeguard client property.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Work under time constraints, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.
- Accurately report work hours and resources used.
- Attend BELFOR training courses as required.
- Assist other PMs and volunteer for CAT duty when possible.
- Advance knowledge of restoration services, building codes, and regulations.
- Serve as role models for Superintendents.
- Upsell additional services on projects.
- Communicate daily with Estimators regarding project status.
- Improve core project management skills continually.
- Complete projects on time and within budget with customer satisfaction.
- Construction focus: plan, coordinate, oversee employees and subcontractors, read blueprints, and manage projects exceeding $1M.
- Restoration focus: direct crews of BELFOR personnel and manage projects exceeding $1M.
- Attend training courses to improve skills.
- Manage large crews and multiple projects.
- Supervise and document projects, working with PMs or Estimators on restoration plans.
