We have an opportunity for an electrical engineer who is seeking to utilize their strong academic background and experience in RF/Microwave system theory and design, including architectures, subsystems, and components. This will include oversight of material delivery, build, and test. The work will involve support of suppliers and obsolescence. This role involves cross functional collaboration and basic understanding of module level RF test, power electronics, and circuit design.

Tasks include supporting development and technical management of both engineering disciplines and suppliers for programs throughout the product life cycle.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven project organization and execution skills, multi-tasking and verbal/written communication and presentation skills, and experience in a budget and schedule critical environment. Candidates should lead multi-discipline teams to develop systems from concept through integration and production, and develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity. A candidate willing to collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues.

Qualified candidates must have experience with digital, analog and/or RF testing and experience debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Knowledge of RF / microwave devices required.
** What You Will Do
*** Support development or production for programs throughout the product life cycle.
* Development and supplier support for RF Downlink
* Design and development of transmitters, receivers, exciters, and oscillators
* Technical management of both engineering disciplines and suppliers
* Some travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required.
** Qualifications You Must Have
*** Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:  +

Experience with power electronics, control systems, signal processing and/or RF/microwave.  +

Experience with circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting.  +

Experience with defense industry standards.  +

Experience with any or all of the following: obsolescence mitigation, support to component suppliers, plan and execution of application validation tests, support to major component 2nd source activities.  +

Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition and analytical tools such as Matlab
** Qualifications We Prefer
*** Familiarity with missile communication transceivers and data links, inertial measurement units (IMU) and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver subsystems.
