We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with a strong background in real estate, development, and construction accounting. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial operations, manage budgets across multiple active projects and entities, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance with both corporate and project level financial controls. This role requires a hands‑on professional who can navigate the complexities of real estate investment, construction cost tracking, and multi‑entity accounting while providing strategic financial insight to support growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple entities, including real‑estate holdings, development projects, and construction divisions.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, consolidations, and forecasting.
  • Maintain and reconcile project budgets, and job cost reports.
  • Coordinate with project managers and leadership to monitor cash flow, payables, receivables, and project profitability.
  • Oversee general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, intercompany transfers, and journal entries.
  • Collaborate with ownership and external accountants on annual audits, tax filings, and entity formation.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis for new acquisitions, tenant improvements, and capital projects.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems, processes, and controls for improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supervise or coordinate with bookkeeping and administrative staff involved in billing, payroll, and vendor management.
  • Support strategic decisions by providing financial modeling and cost‑benefit analyses for current and upcoming projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in real estate development or construction.
  • Proficient in MRI, Sage Intacct, Excel, and job cost tracking systems.
  • Strong knowledge of project‑based accounting, real‑estate finance, and cost allocation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple entities and complex financial structures.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced environment.

From $90,000.00-$ per year
