Vaco has partnered with our client to hire a Payroll Tax Administrator to join its team. This position is onsite.
Position Summary- Payroll Administrator with a strong payroll tax and compliance focus
- Responsible for multi-state payroll processing, tax filings, agency notices, and employee payroll support
- Role includes some payroll processing, with opportunity for expanded payroll responsibilities over time
- Review, research, and resolve payroll tax notices with state and federal agencies
- Register new state withholding and unemployment accounts as needed
- Process weekly payroll timesheets from automated time-tracking systems
- Prepare payroll tax files for third-party tax filing services
- Support year-end reporting and W-2 processing
- Maintain payroll and employer contribution records
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Associate degree or equivalent experience (3–5 years in payroll administration)
- Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state payroll tax requirements
- Experience with ADP Smart Compliance, payroll tax compliance, and agency filings preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Lists, Office);
Power BI a plus
