Payroll Tax Administrator

Vaco has partnered with our client to hire a Payroll Tax Administrator to join its team. This position is onsite.

$85,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

• Payroll Administrator with a strong payroll tax and compliance focus.
• Responsible for multi-state payroll processing, tax filings, agency notices, and employee payroll support.
• Role includes some payroll processing, with opportunity for expanded payroll responsibilities over time.

• Review, research, and resolve payroll tax notices with state and federal agencies.
• Register new state withholding and unemployment accounts as needed.
• Process weekly payroll timesheets from automated time-tracking systems.
• Prepare payroll tax files for third-party tax filing services.
• Support year-end reporting and W‑2 processing.
• Maintain payroll and employer contribution records.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Associate degree or equivalent experience (3‑5 years in payroll administration).
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi‑state payroll tax requirements.
• Experience with ADP Smart Compliance, payroll tax compliance, and agency filings preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Lists, Office);
  Power BI a plus.
