DDS Residential Counselor (16 Hours) – Stevens Street

Description and Responsibilities

Open Sky supports adults with developmental and intellectual challenges referred by Department of Developmental Services. Our mission is to provide safe, nurturing homes that address each individual’s needs and preferences. We encourage residents to engage in community life through volunteering, classes, outings, or health clubs. Staff works to build skills that enable residents to live independently.

Salary

USD $22.48/Hr.

Residential Counselor Role

The residential counselor supports individuals with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible, providing evidence‑based treatment and care in a group living environment. Responsibilities include guiding and supporting residents in activities of daily living, ensuring health and safety, advocating for residents, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Other Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing individualized, person‑centered treatment plans and lead implementation.
• Implement all procedures that ensure health, safety, and well‑being of residents and general cleanliness of the site.
• Assist residents to access and/or provide transportation.
• Review and complete all required documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.
