About the RoleAs a Social Worker , you will be based in Wairau, wherebio-psychosocial assessments are required and interventions offered to support complex challenges. The role entails working with Tamariki and whanau from the Child Development Service.
This is a permanent part time role, working 32 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE), Monday to Friday.
No on-call is required.

About the Team / Service / LocationChild Development Service is a multidisciplinary team working with Tamariki 0-15 years who have a disability. You will be supportingwhanau as they navigate through the health and disability sector.
We are located at the Community Health Hub alongside other community health services.

About youAs a Social Worker, you will:
- work in acollaborative way, delivering client-centred practice from a strengths perspective,
- ideally have experience working with Tamariki in a health and disability setting and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team,
- bring an understanding of the social determinants of health, and the impact on health and social needs across allage ranges,
- have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and lots of energy,
- be innovative, proactive, enthusiastic, flexible and creative with a positive approach to all situations including problem solving,
- be registered with the NZ Social Workers Registration Board.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZvisa at the time of applying.
