American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Long Term Care position in Marlborough, MA, requiring at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience.
Requirements- Active OTA license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
- LTC or rehabilitative care setting experience required
- New graduates considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- Long term care (LTC) facility occupational therapy department
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts
- 35 guaranteed work week hours
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- Provide rehabilitative treatment to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
- Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising OT to adjust treatment plans
- Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
- Support and supervise OTA students under guidance of the Occupational Therapist
- Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts and code of conduct
- Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested during the assignment
