American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a float position requiring Level I trauma and critical care experience across multiple campuses.
Requirements- Active MA state RRT license required in hand (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
- Documented Level I trauma facility experience required
- Documented critical care/acute care experience required
- NICU experience preferred
- BLS and RRT certification required; NRP certification preferred
- Experience with arterial blood gas interpretation and drawing required
- Experience with tracheostomy care, airway management, and suctioning required
- Experience with chest physiotherapy and nebulizer treatments required
- Two professional references required, one of which must be a Nurse Manager or higher
- Float position requiring coverage across Marlborough, University, and Memorial campuses, all within 20 minutes of each other
- Memorial campus is the only location with a NICU, but floating to all campuses is expected
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, with Marlborough shifts 5:45p-6:15a and Med Center shifts 6:45p-7:15a
- EOW/EOH scheduling pattern
- Works in adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU settings
- Performs neonatal/pediatric respiratory procedures including CPAP, high frequency ventilation, and intubation assist
- Manages ventilators including BiPAP, CPAP, and high frequency oscillators
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
- Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations as needed
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports
- Perform medication delivery via various administration devices and systems
- Participate in external patient transports as needed
- Complete a Pass/Fail EKG test as part of orientation requirements
- Local candidates accepted with the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
