The Seasonal Defoliation & Harvest Team Member plays an important hands‑on role in supporting Puro’s medicinal cannabis cultivation operations in Kekerengu, Marlborough. This position contributes directly to the successful cultivation and harvest of medicinal cannabis by assisting with defoliation and harvesting activities in line with established procedures and quality standards.

This role is well suited to self‑motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in physical work, and are keen to be part of a growing agricultural industry. Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a regulated and professional environment.

Assist with the defoliation and harvesting of medicinal cannabis in accordance with established guidelines and instructions.

Carry out tasks efficiently and carefully to support crop quality and production targets.

Health, Safety & Work Standards

Perform daily physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking, across varying weather conditions.

Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area to support safety, efficiency, and quality outcomes.

Follow all health and safety instructions and site rules at all times.

Teamwork & Communication

Follow direction from team leaders and supervisors to meet daily and seasonal production goals.

Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure tasks are completed effectively.

Report any issues or concerns relating to crop quality, plant health, or equipment to supervisors promptly.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.

Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site in Kekerengu.

Experience

No prior experience is required; full training will be provided.

Previous experience in horticulture, agriculture, or outdoor work is an advantage but not essential.

Skills & Attributes

Self‑motivated, reliable, and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Physically capable of performing manual labour on a daily basis.

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
