Optical​/Mechanical Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled Optical-Mechanical Assembly Technician to build, test, and inspect complex opto-mechanical assemblies for state-of-the-art laser processing systems. In this role, you will ensure high quality standards and collaborate with engineering to improve production documentation.

• Assemble precision opto-mechanical and optical sub-assemblies using hand and light power tools.
• Inspect, serialize, and test incoming and outgoing optics to ensure compliance with defined standards.
• Support the precision assembly work center during peak production periods.
• Assist in generating new work instructions and provide feedback to engineering on documentation errors.
• Complete ERP work order paperwork accurately for proper job processing and costing.
• Dispose of obsolete documentation upon job completion.

• Technical school graduate or equivalent professional manufacturing experience.
• Competent with optical measurement tools, gauges, and meters.
• Craftsman-level skill with assembly hand tools and light power tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of neat, accurate, and consistent work.
• Ability to work independently, retain information, and communicate effectively with teams and supervisors.
• Strong understanding of the proper chain of command and when to seek guidance.
