Community Engagement Specialist

Location: The Recovery Connection Marlborough, MA

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:30am‑5:00pm. Evening (4:00pm‑8:00pm) and weekend (Saturday 8:30am‑5:00pm) shifts may be required.

Pay rate: $18.00‑$19.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Educate the public about addiction and the multiple pathways to recovery, recruit participants, and network with community‑based organizations in collaboration with peer volunteers.
• Assist young adults on their pathway to recovery or help them maintain a strong recovery.

Qualifications:

• One year of experience in a substance‑abuse program preferred.
• Familiarity with the local recovery community.
• CARC certification preferred.
• Experience providing harm‑minimization advice and information that reduces the potential negative impact on individuals and communities.
• Experience with structured, focused and time‑limited support for clients at the point of entry, generated from contacts with the street population.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
