American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and an active MA RN license.
Details- Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
- Treats cardiac telemetry and MS/Tele patient populations
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-7:15)
- Required to work every other weekend
- May float to the ED to cover boarder patients as needed
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, must be able to work all 7 days
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
- Experience with chest tube management, HFNC, and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with CBI, renal failure, and pre/post hemodialysis management
- Experience with wound care, IV insulin protocols, and pre/post cardiac cath care
- Two professional references required, including one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Provide telemetry monitoring and emergency response, including use of rapid response/code teams
- Must complete a pass/fail telemetry test during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed
- Must also complete a pass/fail medication exam during orientation
- Additional pre-start and orientation modules required, with annual completion thereafter
- Up to 1 major holiday may be requested off, with the possibility of working the other 2
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be requested, with no RTO allowed during the first week
- Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
