Opened in 1981, Kennedy’s Restaurant is a family-owned establishment based in the city of Marlboro, MA. We are currently looking for friendly, energetic and dedicated hosts to join our team and help us continue to provide excellent service to our valued guests.

As a Busser, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized dining area while assisting servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and prompt service. You will be responsible for clearing tables, resetting them for the next guests, refilling supplies, and supporting the team during busy shifts. Your work helps create a positive atmosphere for both guests and fellow team members.

This is a tipped position.

• Clear and Clean Tables:
  After guests finish their meals, promptly clear and clean tables, removing dishes, utensils, and glassware to prepare for the next guests.
• Reset Tables:
  Ensure tables are properly reset with clean linens, utensils, glassware, and condiments in accordance with restaurant standards.
• Assist Servers:
  Support servers by delivering beverages, refilling water glasses, and providing any additional items guests may need during their meal.
• Maintain Cleanliness:
  Help keep the dining room, service stations, and restrooms clean and well-stocked. This includes sweeping and mopping floors as needed and emptying trash bins.
• Assist with Stocking:
  Help restock service areas with supplies such as napkins, silverware, glassware, and condiments.

  Assist in managing high-volume periods by maintaining a smooth flow of guest seating and ensuring tables are turned quickly.
• Help with Guest Requests:
  Respond to guest requests in a friendly and timely manner, ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.
• Collaborate with Team Members:
  Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure that all areas of the restaurant are running efficiently and smoothly.

• Communication:
  Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to work well with team members and interact with guests.
• Physical Stamina:
  Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time, lift and carry trays and bus tubs, and perform other physical tasks.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for cleanliness and an ability to quickly identify and address needs in the dining area.
• Team Player:
  Must be willing to work collaboratively and support other team members in a busy restaurant environment.
• Positive Attitude: A friendly, positive demeanor, especially during high-pressure situations, to help maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Time Management:
  Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently, particularly during busy shifts.

• The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to move quickly and efficiently during peak dining times.
• The noise level in the restaurant can be moderate to loud, especially during busy shifts, so the ability to work efficiently in a high-energy environment is essential.
• The position involves required physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
