Opened in 1981, Kennedy’s Restaurant is a family-owned establishment based in the city of Marlboro, MA. Our family and business pride ourselves on incredible meals, outstanding service and creating a memorable dining experience. We are currently looking for friendly, energetic and dedicated hosts to join our team and help us continue to provide excellent service to our valued guests.

As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to the guests' tables promptly and accurately. You will work closely with the kitchen staff, servers, bartenders and management to ensure that every guest receives their food in perfect condition and in a timely manner. Your role is essential in maintaining the flow of service during busy periods, ensuring that the dining experience is smooth and enjoyable for all guests.

This is a tipped position.

• Deliver Food to Tables: Promptly deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the appropriate table, ensuring the order is correct and presented attractively.
• Assist with Table Maintenance: Help servers by refilling water glasses, clearing plates, and ensuring dining tables are clean and organized.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Bar and Service Staff: Communicate with the kitchen, bartenders and servers to ensure that all orders are prepared correctly and on time. Relay any special requests or modifications to the kitchen staff.
• Ensure Order Accuracy: Double-check orders before delivering them to guests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with Expediting: Help the kitchen staff with expediting food orders during peak times by making sure dishes are assigned properly, ready for delivery and presented according to restaurant standards.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the food runner station and service areas are clean and organized. Assist with the cleaning and resetting of tables when necessary.
• Guest Interaction: Be courteous and friendly with guests as you deliver their meals, ensuring they have everything they need for an enjoyable dining experience.
• Support the Team: Work with servers, bartenders and other team members to provide seamless service and help when needed.

• Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods and occasionally assist with light lifting (up to 40lbs).

• The work environment is typically fast paced, with a high volume of guests during peak hours.
• The noise level in the restaurant can vary but is generally moderate to loud, especially during busy shifts, so the ability to work efficiently in a high-energy environment is essential.
• Staff is expected to work both inside the main dining room and outside on our garden patio.

• Food Runners must be able to:
  Bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and climb as required during the shift.
