Job Title: Retail Sales Manager

Pay Range: $49,560 – $65,000

Location: 222A East Main St., Marlborough, MA 01752

What you’ll be working on Store Performance
  • Ensure store performance meets financial targets and key metrics based on the operating plan
  • Monitor and set the pace of work
  • Analyze key metrics, observations, and information to act on company objectives and local market potential
  • Inspect sales floor for shop‑ability and merchandising standards, ensuring a positive customer/donor experience at all points of interaction
  • Lead the generation of new Super Savers Club membership
  • Prioritize and direct team member activity
Leadership and Development
  • Lead, direct, and supervise the work of supervisors and retail sales floor team members
  • Plan staffing needs and coordinate recruitment, selection, and training
  • Interact, train, coach, and counsel supervisors and team members, providing recognition and candid feedback
  • Identify and develop high‑potential team members for supervisory and management positions through on‑the‑job guided work
  • Model and maintain a respectful, values‑driven workplace that adheres to all Savers policies and procedures
  • Act as acting Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager
Retail and CDC Operations
  • Schedule supervisors and team members for cash register, self‑checkout, and sales floor to meet customer/donor demand
  • Continuously assess the sales floor and donor areas, directing team member activity to ensure standards are met
  • Inform team members of operating plan targets and progress against targets
  • Monitor sales, items sold, and operations labor hours to ensure efficiency targets are met and adjust staffing as needed
  • Identify sub‑standard departments or categories and take action for resolution
  • Determine appropriate space‑to‑sales for departments and categories using the Cat Max tool and adjusting linear footage accordingly
  • Respond to customer questions, requests, and complaints, processing exchanges and special customer needs as needed
  • Leverage Voice of Customer Program to improve satisfaction
  • Deliver a positive and unforgettable customer/donor experience by setting the example and training team members on customer service expectations
  • Actively engage with customers to seek first‑hand feedback for continuous improvement
  • Implement sales and marketing promotions and programs
