Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, which can be dramatically reduced by converting to heat pumps, however, adoption lags due to high cost and friction in the retrofit process today. Solving one layer of the value chain won’t move the needle on adoption. Mass adoption will come when it becomes a no-brainer for homeowners to transition. That is why Jetson is building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company.

Jetson will make it simple, transparent and affordable for everyone to get a heat pump.

We are looking for an extremely motivated and passionate HVAC Specialist who would like to be a part of an exciting new company looking to fight climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry. As the HVAC Specialist, we are looking for individuals with deep residential install experience, trouble shooting skills and great customer communications. You will be relied upon for installations, walk throughs, service calls or anything else that needs your deep expertise and collaborating with engineering teams on how the product can be improved and the install process streamlined.

• Perform Manual J calculations for Manual S equipment selection
• Pre-installation walk throughs to ensure estimates are accurate
• Perform maintenance calls and troubleshoot heat pump system issues
• Remove existing HVAC equipment and install new heat pump systems
• No upselling required; we have a separate sales team so you can do what you do best
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes when installing or repairing systems
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineering teams on the product and processes
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
• Learn about new smart home technologies as they are added to our product portfolio

• You have extensive experience in heating & cooling in a residential capacity
• Experience with both Manual J and Manual S
• Proven experience as an install team member and service technician
• EPA Section 608 certification required
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience training junior HVAC team members
• Excellent English communications and customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38 - $50 per hour
