Heavy Equipment Operator - Industrial

Job Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
• Responsible for daily inspection of equipment and performing basic repair and maintenance as needed to ensure the safe working condition of all equipment.
• Read and understand various types of load charts.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of a variety of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of routine and preventative maintenance of heavy construction vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of principles and procedures of documentation and record‑keeping including operators' books.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
• Knowledge of safe load securing practices/rigging experience is a plus.
• Understanding of hand signals.
• State licensing may be required depending upon the state.
• NCCER certification is a plus.
• CDL license is a plus.
• Must hold a Massachusetts and Connecticut hoisting license.

Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, knowledge, qualifications, and performance. The compensation range for this position is $39 - $47 and is exclusive of any other benefit and/or bonus. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued growth.
