Job Summary: The Software Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer ensures that software products meet required standards and specifications before release. This role involves planning, designing, executing, and documenting comprehensive testing activities to verify and validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The engineer collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant software solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement software verification and validation plans, protocols, and procedures.
- Design, write, and execute test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Document all testing outcomes and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews to ensure testability and compliance.
- Ensure software meets regulatory and quality standards (ISO, IEC, FDA, etc.).
- Support risk assessment and mitigation efforts related to software quality.
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software V&V processes and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software testing, verification, and validation (V&V).
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Test Rail).
- Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell, Python, Selenium).
- Familiarity with Windows Domain configurations and maintenance.
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
- Knowledge of risk management and quality assurance principles.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational excellence.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485, DO-178C).
- Ability to develop test automation scripts and frameworks.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with verification traceability and documentation control.
- Understanding of risk‑based testing and validation documentation.
