Job Summary:

As a Receiving Clerk, you will effectively and efficiently complete receiving processes, to include verification of receiving documents, proper data entry of product being received and effective document management. As a receiving clerk, you will communicate with inbound drivers to ensure

Key Responsibilities:

* Communicate with inbound drivers
* Verify documentation for product received, Bills of Lading, and receiving documentation (Warehouse receiving documents, purchase orders, date codes, pallet verification report, and receiving exception report)
* Notify Supervisor of major discrepancies, before product is received
* Properly document inbound carriers in Receiving Log
* Post receive purchase orders
* Prepare the Receiving Exception Report daily
* Coordinate with receiver and unloader on priority of Dock Door assignments and driver contact
* Assist with collection of freight handling fees, late delivery fees, check approvals for these amounts and issue receipts
* Compile end of shift receiving/inventory debrief
* Check APT to ensure team members time and performance are accurate
* Properly document outbound trailers in shipping log
* Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies
* Maintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standards
* Cross-train to cover Shipping Clerk functions as needed
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus
* Receiving or warehouse experience preferred
* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to use email, word-processing, spreadsheets, WMS and other applications
* Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidays
