Manufacturing Engineer
Location:
Maidenhead - 4 days on site
Engagement:
Contract (PAYE/Umbrella), inside IR35
Rate: £40-60 per hour umbrella
Drive automation excellence across a cutting edge aerospace manufacturing environment. We're looking for a hands on Automation & Robotics Manufacturing Engineer to support major efficiency, quality and cost saving initiatives.
What you'll do in this Manufacturing Engineer role:
Design & develop automation and robotic solutions for production, assembly and test.
Identify opportunities to automate and optimise manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot and improve automation systems, including robot reprogramming and upgrades.
Work cross functionally to ensure operational, safety and regulatory compliance.
Support NPI with design for automation and best method manufacturing decisions.
Simulate, refine and optimise automated processes & robotic cells.
Develop vision/sensor inspection strategies (Cognex, Keyence).
Apply DFMA, tolerance analysis, value engineering and contribute to costmodel decisions.
What experience you'll bring to this Manufacturing Engineer role:
3 years in robotics, automation, PLC/robot integration.
Strong robotics programming (e.g., RAPID)
C.
Experience with Robot Studio, Solid Works, TIA Portal.
Vision system integration (Cognex/Keyence).
Force control programming & electrical/robot circuit integration.
Strong problem solving, communication and project delivery mindset.
Qualifications required for the Manufacturing Engineer role:
BSc/MSc in Engineering.
PLC programming certified.
Automation/assembly simulation experience.
Knowledge of Six Sigma methods.
Comfortable working with evolving designs and balancing stakeholder requirements.
