Job SummaryJunior Key Account Manager – UK based; expected to work from office four days a week. This role works within a portfolio of brands to maximize opportunities, manage risk, deliver profitability goals, build long‑term business relationships and exceed customer expectations. The position reports to the National Account Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Support and contribute to development of bi‑annual business plans with the National Account Manager to meet company goals and customer needs.
- Assist in building innovative sales and marketing‑led account plans to maximize Spin Master’s performance within each account.
- Deliver product presentations, business proposals and marketing plans to customers on time.
- Understand customer timelines and provide required information and materials to facilitate decisions and manage business effectively.
- Develop and update monthly forecasts for the portfolio based on POS, stock, allocations and promotional data.
- Work with the planning team to ensure stock and allocations support forecasted demand.
- Review current performance, propose adjustments to plans with supporting evidence to achieve business goals.
- Manage customer‑specific budgets and update Salesforce.
- Analyze sell‑through data and market intelligence to identify business opportunities and mitigate risk.
- Maintain clear, efficient communication and provide rapid solutions to challenges.
- Build cross‑functional relationships with buyers and internal teams to align on sales growth objectives and account selection.
- Coordinate trade marketing and marketing activities to achieve planned volume, distribution and profit targets.
- Support strategic business planning for volume, revenue, margin, promotional work and data‑driven customer solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver customer plans and maintain strong commercial relationships.
- Minimum 18 months to 2 years of experience in a similar role in the CPG or toy industry.
- Retail experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated success managing a business portfolio.
- Customer‑driven mindset and proactive "go‑getter" attitude.
- Strong relationship‑building skills, both internal and external.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP and Salesforce considered an asset.
- Excellent organization, planning and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
- Goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, persistent and determined.
- Competency in creating business presentations and Excel files, reading POS reports.
- Flexibility regarding accounts managed.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel within UK or internationally.
