Construction Services Technician (Utility / Water-Wastewater Focus)

Buchart Horn is seeking an entry-level Construction Services Technician to support a project in Camden, NJ. This position is well-suited for a recent graduate or early‑career engineer who wants to gain field experience. You will work closely with an experienced inspector who will be on‑site daily to provide hands‑on training, guidance, and mentorship.

• Assist with field inspections for water/wastewater systems and underground utilities
• Observe and document contractor activities, progress, and compliance
• Review installation methods for process piping, ground work, and utility connections
• Maintain daily reports, notes, and photographic documentation
• Coordinate with contractors and project staff to support field operations
• Learn inspection standards, procedures, and best practices under daily mentorship
• Support a variety of utility‑related construction tasks as assigned

• Entry‑level candidate; recent graduates encouraged to apply
• Degree or coursework in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or water/wastewater utilities
• Foundational understanding of: process piping, ground work, underground utilities, water/wastewater systems
• Strong willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into the role
• Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail

• Receive daily on‑site mentorship from a senior inspector
• Build hands‑on field experience in utility and water/wastewater infrastructure
• Work with a respected engineering firm committed to your development
• Contribute directly to meaningful public infrastructure improvements
