Revenue Cycle Representative

Southern Jersey Family Medical Centers, Inc. is looking for a talented Billing Specialist to help make an impact with our most underserved populations.

Summary: The Billing Specialist is responsible for maintaining adequate cash flow to support center operations and is expected to interact professionally with staff to meet patient and center billing needs.

Hours: This is a full-time position requiring a flexible schedule. General daytime hours Monday – Friday.

Location: Marlton, NJ

Position Responsibilities/Duties:

• Posting payments and adjustments accurately and timely from third-party billing sources into the computer system.
• Follow-up/collections on denied claims from all third-party carriers as backup only.
• Responding to claim inquiry requests from all third-party carriers as backup only.
• Maintaining an accurate filing system.
• Scrubbing previous day’s encounters to ensure CPT & ICD code accuracy before submission to third-party carriers.
• Filing lockbox/receivables, ensuring totals from daily cash receipts match deposits.
• Resetting logs from adjusting patient accounts.
• Generating and mailing insurance claim forms to third-party insurances.
• Faxing requests on patient (statement account) to the attorney’s office.

Experience and Skills:

• 1 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong computer skills: experience with Navinet, NJMMIS, and EPIC preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma from a medical training course is preferred.
